Apartment Review for Irving Properties - Minneapolis, MN

The management was terrible. When we first moved in they fixed things right away. After maybe the first month, things started going wrong and they would never fix anything. At one point they fixed a ceiling light and left the wiring hanging out. When we asked them to fix it, they kept saying they would and never did to the day we moved out. Once I slipped and fell on the staircase in the front entryway because they had loose carpeting on the stairs. Other tenants were constantly propping open the front door despite being asked not to. It just wasn't safe. The apartment itself was actually kind of cute, despite radiators with peeling paint and large bumps in the ceiling from water damage. I believe they put in new hardwood floors before we moved in which gave it a charm. Walls were pretty thin, so we could hear other tenants pretty well throughout the day and night. Luckily we came prepared at our check out, because the management attempted to pin things on us that were already wrong with the apartment when we first moved in. Bad experience with management outweighed the great uptown location.
