It was good in some way, crappy in others

We thought the apartment itself was pretty decent. Was clean and in good condition when we moved in. I liked the location. It was a nice walk to Lake Harriet, Lake Calhoun, and the Linden Hills Co-op. Bedroom were pretty decently sized with large windows and one bedroom had a ceiling fan. Bathroom was clean but pretty small. The walls are pretty thin though so you can hear pretty much everything all your neighbors say and do and they, in turn, can hear you. Our upstairs neighbors complained about us without realizing we heard them stomping around and yelling at eachother all the time. There are tons of unsupervised kids screaming obscene things most hours of the day though. They were always buzzing everyone in the building to let them in. The manager Traci was TERRIBLE! She was loud herself and we always heard her shrieking at her bratty children. It took her WEEKS to get back to us on maintenance issues almost everytime we had one. She was NEVER in the office during the supposed office hours and if you knocked on her door she got really angry and said she is busy because she has another job. Overall I liked the apartment and location but dealing with the management and other tenants was a real issue. |
