Apartment Review for Lakewood Isles Apartments - Minneapolis, MN

The manager's attitude is the worst point of living at this place. You can see her resentment when you go and ask her a question. For instance last winter there was a snow removal alert and I had to move my car from the lot. I asked her if she could suggest a place (at least which side of the road), since I just moved in the previous day and did not know the surroundings very well. She looked at me as I was stupid and straight up told me "that is your problem, I cant help you." Seriously!! After arguing for about 5 minutes she handed me a city brochure that says which side of the street I could park during snow emergencies. I called for maintenance on a loose cabinet door, and now after the fix the door is completely out of its rail. Parking is a huge problem if you come home late (sometimes I can swear people from other places parking there). They charge you a whopping $80 a month if you want to park in the garage. The so called common area looks like section8 now (they put some paint when I moved in, looked half decent. No maintenance since then). You can't even use the (broken) pool table since there is no space to move around. It was a mistake to move in here even worse to sign a one year lease (may be I am as stupid as the manager thinks I am). The rent is too high and the place looks like crap. I don't even invite my friends over, I feel that bad about this place. Do not rent this place.
