Pros: *The maintenance staff are extremely quick to respond to any issue, large or small *The location is great - safe area, not a noisy area, but city- enough to not feel like you're in the suburbs either *The ammenities for guests/parties are great - there are two courtyards with nice grills, seating, and are open-air with trees, there's a large indoor pool, workout room, party room, and sundeck *There is a screened in deck attached to each apartment on the second and third floor Cons: *Noise: Walls are very thin, and any noise from the courtyard can be heard, anyone walking down hallways sound like they weigh 400 tons *Parking: Not enough spaces for the amount of passes given out - and signs are often posted (esp. in winter) kicking us out of the garage (costs an extra $65/mo.), or the parking lot, which means we have to find a spot on the street that is usually no less than 3 blocks away, and during busy times like when everyone has to find a spot other than the parking lot, you could end up parking a mile away. *Office staff: a couple of them are decently tactful, but in general they are rude, unaccommodating, and often are not in the office at all. They will decide last minute that the office will be closed for a day or two, meaning there is no way to receive packages delivered by the post office, or ask any questions unless it is a "maintenance emergency" *Apartment space itself: Good amount of room, but very poorly built. The ceiling of my bathroom literally fell in a month ago, because of a pipe leak, flooding the bathroom and leaving sitting water throughout the carpeted apartment. The ceilings in the hallways are often torn down for what looks like the same reason. I often hear peoples' fire alarms in their apartments going off for what I'm assuming is the same reason as my own experience - if I open the oven, the fire alarm goes off. It doesn't have anything in there that it's burning off. Just about anything makes it go off. And if it goes off long enough, the building alarm turns on. Then we all shuffle out in the middle of the night with our animals and no explanation from staff, of course, until we get fed up enough and go back into our apartments. College dorm-style on that one (fire alarms). All in all, if you desperately want to be in a good area near uptown Minneapolis, and can handle dorm-like conditions (from noise to quality of living), then you may be able to handle living here. Most people would be quite unhappy.
