Apartment Review
DO NOT LIVE HERE

This is by far the worst apartment complex I have ever rented from, and I have lived in a lot of places. Here are some of the horrible things that happened to me and my roommate while we lived here 1) My car was broken into 3 times and my roommates car was broken into once in the "secured" underground parking ramp at Laurel Curve. At first I was told that someone was after me and that I was personally being targeted, but then my roommate and several other residents had break-ins. They said that they had security cameras, but I don't think they worked because eventually a security company came in and installed security cameras. The whole thing was very upsetting, costly, and my roommate and I did not feel safe. 2) The management is rude. They are the most unhelpful group of people I have ever met and treat you with ZERO respect. 3) They leasing office showed my apartment to future residents when I was at home sleeping and asked them NOT to come into my apartment. I was working a few night shifts and had to sleep during the day. They would leave me a note, with less than 24 hours notice, and I would call and explain that I had to sleep so I could go to work at night. Regardless, they came into my apartment and showed my apartment. I even said it was okay to show the apartment, but asked them to stay out of my room. They didn't! They brought future residents into my apartment and my room and turned on the lights to my room when I was sleeping. It was almost unbelieveable. 4) My roommmate had a dog and the dog park was one of the reasons we decided to live there. For 6 months the dog park was just mud with construction equipment. It was disgusting and a complete inconvenience for her. 5) When they decide to clean the garages, you better make sure you are not on vacation. They will give you a week or so notice about the garage cleaning and send out a paper notice that indicates you need to have your car out of the garage or it will be towed. We were on vacation when the notice was placed under our door and did not come home until the day after the cleaning. Needless to say, our cars were towed and we were forced to pay $275 each to get our cars from the impound. So ridiculous. 6) Your rent will go up every year, by at least $100 per month. 7) People are always in and out of your apartment....replacing the vents, cleaning the windows, removing your balcony and replacing it with a new one (a huge inconvience when you live on the top floor and all of your patio furniture has to remain in your living room for months on end). 8) Our refrigerator broke 6 times - we had 6 different refrigerators. These are just a few of the reasons why my rommmate and I are moving out. I cannot wait to move out! I hate it here and would never recommend this to anyone.
