Apartment Review for Matcom Properties - Minneapolis, MN

They are very incompetent and cheap. Yes they do try but they employ some incompetent people so things don't get done. They want to charge exorbitant rents at these crummy places based on new apartment buildings built around the neighborhood.I can understand a newly built building charging 1000 for a 2 bedroom but how do you justify that same price at these ancient apartments that are falling apart and you have no intent to do any major fixing? Our building has full of rats, tenants are scrambling to find cats to solve the problem, your solution is to send a fat exterminator that doesn't do anything. We are living in mold, you keep promising to do something about it but we know you won't do anything because it's a major repair and it will cost you guys too much,so you just stall people. These guys don't own these buildings, they collect the rent and share it with the building owners. Any cost of maintaining the place comes out of the owner's pocket. So everytime they need to something especially if it's something major, they have to get owner's permission. Most of their buildings are very old, they need a lot of repair. Instead of hussling the owner they hussle us. We have to live with the dump they don't fix. Everybody out there, please stay away from these guys either rent it from another company that owns not too old properties or if you are going to be around the neighbourhood for a while buy a condo rather than rent, it's a lot cheaper anyway.
